Jessica Miller’s journey into medical billing began with a passion for healthcare administration, coding accuracy, and helping practices succeed financially.
In 2017, Jessica took the AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam and passed on her very first attempt — an accomplishment that often requires multiple attempts for many professionals entering the field.
In 2018, she worked within a chiropractic practice in Tennessee, where she became a Certified Chiropractic Assistant while also managing front office operations, insurance claim submission, payment posting, and patient billing responsibilities. This hands-on experience provided valuable insight into the day-to-day challenges healthcare offices face.
In 2020, Jessica accepted an official medical coding and billing position with a family-operated billing company in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. There, she expanded her experience in revenue cycle management, claims processing, denial management, and insurance follow-up across multiple specialties and payer systems.
In 2022, she transitioned into a remote billing role with an EMR company specializing in physical therapy and chiropractic billing, further strengthening her knowledge of electronic medical records, payer workflows, and specialty billing operations.
In 2023, Jessica earned her Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification through AAPC, once again passing the exam on her first attempt.
Then, in January 2024, Jessica began independently billing for her very first client. What started as a single opportunity quickly grew into a larger vision — creating a billing company focused on personalized support, strong communication, and dependable revenue cycle management for healthcare practices.
That vision became MillerMed Billing, LLC.
Jessica “Jess” Miller’s passion for healthcare administration began long before the creation of MillerMed Billing, LLC. Growing up in a podiatry practice in Tullahoma, Tennessee, Jess was surrounded by the healthcare industry from an early age. Her father served the community as a podiatrist for more than 20 years, and Jess quickly became familiar with the daily operations of a medical office — from listening to physician dictation to filing charts, scheduling appointments, and helping around the practice whenever she could.
Those early experiences helped build the strong medical terminology foundation, administrative knowledge, and understanding of private practice operations that continue to guide her work today.
Jess is passionate about helping providers create smoother, more efficient practices while reducing the stress that often comes with medical billing and revenue cycle management. Her hands-on experience across coding, billing, insurance follow-up, patient accounts, and office operations allows her to support practices with both technical knowledge and real-world understanding of the challenges healthcare providers face every day.
Outside of work, Jess has been happily married to her husband, Chris, for 19 years, and together they have three boys and a grandson. They currently reside in Woodbury, Tennessee, where family life stays busy with travel, outdoor adventures, and motorsports.
As a family, they enjoy taking trips, dirt track racing — where their oldest son races competitively — along with mud bogging, tractor pulls, and other outdoor events. Jess and Chris also enjoy traveling together on their motorcycle and have explored much of the country, riding as far north as Canada and as far west as Colorado, while traveling from Maine all the way to Mile 0 in Key West, Florida.
Through both her professional experience and personal values, Jess brings dedication, communication, and genuine care into every client relationship she builds.
